Intelligence Infrastructure

Collect the dots.Connect the dots. From insight to action.

KeteIQ is intelligence infrastructure that helps you make better decisions.

01Why foresight, and why now

The decisions that matter most no longer arrive on your cycle.

Foresight is not prediction. Prediction is passive: it locks in a single version of the future and asks you to plan against it. Foresight does the opposite. It reads what is already changing at the edges of your operating environment, then asks what you would do differently if it held.

The pressure on your organisation is that the challenges which matter most do not arrive on your cycle. They do not resolve within a board term, a funding round or a financial year, and they rarely arrive one at a time. Crises now entangle: a funding shift, a workforce shortage and a policy change compound each other, producing consequences greater than the sum of the three. Governing that from last year's annual report is governing from the rear-view mirror.

Signals of change

The early symptoms of a shift, usually hidden among disconnected pieces of information that read as background noise until someone puts them side by side.

The unit of foresight

Horizon scanning

Systematic watching of agreed sources for those early signs, so detection is a standing discipline rather than a matter of who happened to read what.

The method

Sensemaking

Human judgement about what a signal means for one particular organisation, its strategy and its next decision. This is where intelligence is either created or lost.

The judgement

Present-day choice

The point of the exercise: uncertainty about the future translated into a decision you can make, and defend, this quarter.

The output
This is the discipline international institutions now apply to global risk. The UNEP and International Science Council foresight report Navigating New Horizons (2024) built its assessment from exactly this sequence: broad scanning, expert review, human sensemaking, and a deliberate refusal to predict. KeteIQ applies the same standard at the scale that matters to you — one organisation's operating environment, one board's decisions.
02Why KeteIQ

Better than the board paper you write today.

Most leadership teams still brief their board from a manual scan: a few searches, a consultant's report, whatever crossed someone's desk. KeteIQ keeps reading the New Zealand sources that matter to you and brings forward the handful of things that matter most each week, not everything it reads.

Leadership teams

A thinking partner

Your sources are watched every week. You question what surfaces, challenge it and decide what matters, rather than hunting for evidence or wading through it.

CEOs

Every line has a source

Each claim links to the exact line it came from and the person who approved it. Nothing to defend on faith.

Boards

Built for Aotearoa

Local funders, Crown agencies, iwi and hapū bodies and sector networks already mapped, which general AI tools and global platforms do not know.

03Your first session

Value in the first five minutes.

No set-up marathon and no pile of data to sort through. Your first session starts with your own strategy.

Minute one

Your strategy, reflected back

The pillars and assumptions in your plan, set out plainly, so you can see KeteIQ understands what you are trying to do.

Minutes two to three

Three things worth knowing

Three insights, each tied to one of your pillars, and at least one that tests an assumption you hold.

Minutes four to five

Ask, challenge, explore

Question an insight, ask what it means for your plan, and see where it leads. Every answer shows its source.

04The distinction

Do you have a shared language of collective intelligence?

Your organisation is not short of information. It is short of the elevation that turns information into a decision.

Hindsight

We can tell the story of what happened.

You are drowning in it

Insight

We can describe why it happened.

Still backward facing

Foresight

We can change the story.

Decisions start to move

Signals

We can see it before it is a story.

Only visible from above
05Where it meets

Three things that rarely sit in one head.

Every intelligence project fails at a seam. The technologist builds something a board cannot use. The strategist frames a question nobody can instrument. The change specialist wins adoption for a tool answering the wrong question. KeteIQ sits where the three meet, because that is the only place the work holds together.

One

Technology

What the data can and cannot honestly tell you, what it costs to find out, and where the machine should be nowhere near the decision.

Two

Strategy

Which decisions actually matter to this board, in this sector, this year. Most intelligence answers questions nobody was going to act on.

Three

Learning organisations

How an organisation comes to notice something, and then does something differently because of it. Infrastructure nobody acts on is a cost centre.

06The value of KeteIQ

Clarity to act. Foresight to lead.

KeteIQ collects, verifies and connects the signals scattered across your operating environment, and sets them against your strategy. You get a living view of what is changing for you, and the board paper becomes a snapshot of it rather than a one-off document. Earlier decisions, better-managed risk, and openings seen ahead of the curve.

07Elevation
Stand beside a newly sown lawn and you can judge roughly what it needs. Get above it and you start to see the individual green shoots, what is growing, what is not, and why.

Technology now lets you see very small signals across a very wide distribution, and put support exactly where it is needed. That is clarity: the difference between a report about your sector and a foresight-led decision inside your organisation.
